Strick Recommends ... Speakers Etc.

Powered Bookshelf Studio Monitors for the radio shack

Edifier R1280T or R1280DB Powered Bookshelf Speakers -- 2.0 Stereo Active Near Field Monitors -- 42 Watts RMS

I use these as Studio Monitors in my radio shack. The HF rig sounds fantastic with these for output.

Actually I have an analog pair in one end of the room connected to the Elecraft K3S. In the other end I have a digital pair, and I can route various things to them, including my turntable or Bluetooth Streaming from my cell phone (I subscribe to Tidal music service).

$100/pair; analog input only: R1280T

or $130/pair, with analog & digital inputs & bluetooth: R1280DB

NAD D 3020 V2 Stereo integrated amplifier with built-in DAC with Bluetooth

This is what we have in the living room, with inputs for the big TV set, for the AM/FM/HD radio, an aux input for my synthesizer or whatever, and bluetooth input (again for Tidal streaming).

$450 https://www.google.com/search?q=nad+d+3020+v2

Living Room Speakers (using the NAD amplifier)

ELAC Uni-fi UB5 Bookshelf Speaker (Black, Pair)

$406/pair: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CRYWVG2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And just for fun, I added an 8" powered Subwoofer (there's an output from the NAD for it):

$120: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0774KV6YT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
