Use Youtube to track popularity of presidential candidates

I noticed that the more popular a candidate, the more views they tend to have. Comes from the logic that if people are more likely to watch a video of someone they support. If I could find (or create) an rss feed that included their view count along with video information, I could use that to generate popularity statistics. It would be interesting to see the stats of this alongside the "real" poll results.
