688 Atlanta

Stomp and Stammer, October 2008, by Jeff Clark:

688 was three blocks from my dorm when I was an undergrad at Georgia Tech. 688 was as wonderful as this article implies. Like the author, I too didn't realize how special 688 was. The New Wave really was new, and exciting, in those days, and having 688 in walking distance was awesome. The first band I saw there was Black Flag. I would also see little bands like REM for $3 on Wednesday nights.
