Download Source Tarball *.tar.gz file from

https://trac.chirp.danplanet.com/chirp_daily/LATEST/

Chdir somewhere (/tmp/ would do) and unpack it (correct the filename):

tar xzf ~/Download/chirp-daily-20201221.tar.gz

Chdir into the directory it just made:

chirp-daily-20201221

I did not plan on installing it anywhere, so I just build for local use:

python2 ./setup.py build

Then run the chirpw command:

PYTHONPATH=build/lib.linux-x86_64-2.7/ python2 build/scripts-2.7/chirpw
